Many fans think the scene should have stayed in the movie. You can see how “Superman Returns” plays out without the dark opening sequence at your trusted VoD provider. Meanwhile, the question is who will be the next big cinema Superman. Guardians of the Galaxy director and now DC executive James Gunn is currently working on Superman: Legacy, due for release in Summer 2025.
