‘Heidi’, in the documentary record of UNESCO

The archive of the Swiss writer Johanna Spyri, world-famous for the series of children’s novels “Heidi”, has been included in the documentary register “Memory of the World” of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

These documents include more than 1,000 manuscripts, photographsoriginal illustrations, letters or records.

Currently, documents spy are located in two institutions based in Zurich: Johanna Spyri Archive (under the Swiss Institute for Youth and Media) and the Heidi Archive (managed by the cultural project Heidiseum).

The University of Zurich, which is in charge of study a famous work Spyri, celebrated this UNESCO recognition in a press release.
