At the end of this week, singer Juanes presented his eleventh album “Vida Cotidiana”, available in digital format, CD and vinyl.
This album marks the premiere of the first studio album completely original from the global ambassador of Latin music from “Más Futuro Que Pasado” 2019.
During this new creative cycle, the artist combines his return its roots rock electric guitars, with his acclaimed songwriting skills, which he used during the pandemic to take a more mature, introspective look at life, love, family, social issues and more.
The praise he received for his artistic vision in the singles you’ve come to expectsuggest that the album will be one of the most outstanding Latin records of the year and a new creative peak in Juanes’ distinguished career.
I think this is the best for me album as a musician, composer and artist,” Juanes said.
“All my previous experiments safe valid – but stepping out of your comfort zone and feeling uncomfortable can be a transformative experience,” he added.
“This new session returns to the places that are related close to my essence… sounds and current topics that come from the most deep my heart and my soul,” he said.
But that’s not all, the video and amazing single “Cecilia” is also released, together with the legend of Latin music, Juan Luis Guerra, dedicated to Juanes’ wife, Karen Cecilia Martinez.
“I wrote ‘Cecilia’ as a response to another song on the album called ‘Gris,'” said the artist.
‘Grey’ was the dark side of the in-between situation my wife and I, and ‘Cecilia’ it’s about reconciliation,” he added.
He also said, “It’s a song about looking into each other’s eyes and continuing to recognize each other as a couple, overcoming our differences and continuing to dance our lives together.”
He shared, “For me to have Juan Luis Guerra there is a great honor in the song, and I am proud of this incredible musical moment. This is a celebration of my love for Cecilia, my family, the opportunity to work with Juan Luis and my love for Caribbean music.”
