The closing credits scene of Fast & Furious 10 informs us that Dante (Jason Momoa) has also set his sights on Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), having previously returned with Gal Gadot’s appearance as Gisele Yashar. We take a closer look at both comebacks and tell you what you need to know about them.
Let’s start with the credits scene with Dwayne Johnson, where one question is particularly interesting: The time when this mid-credit sequence is in the story is unclear – especially in a series like “Fast & Furious”, which sometimes has very wild jumps in time.
When does the end credits scene with Dwayne Johnson play?
Is Hobbs the next victim now that Dante thinks he’s defeated Dom (Vin Diesel)? Or should the scene indicate that another war against Hobbs is already underway parallel to the war against Dom? A very crazy theory about it: maybe “Fast & Furious 11” will show us this parallel plot in particular. Johnson’s surprising comeback would then be the reason why suddenly three instead of the previously planned two films should form the grand finale.
But like I said, Johnson isn’t the only recurring character to find his way back into the bosom of the family. Even before the credits and his performance, we see Gal Gadot inserted with rather mediocre CGI. The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress comes to the rescue of the involuntary female duo Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Cipher (Charlize Theron) as they escape from an Antarctic prison – and her comeback follows a tradition of the series.
Gal Gadot as Gisele – everything you need to know
As former Mossad operative Gisele Yashar, Gal Gadot has starred in three Fast & Furious films to date. In the fourth part “Fast & Furious – New Model. Original parts.” Gisele celebrated her debut – Gadot’s first major Hollywood film role ever. At the moment she is the alleged accomplice of drug kingpin Arturo Braga (John Ortiz). But when her Dom saves his life, she helps him from then on. In “Fast Five she then firmly joins Dom’s crew – and in doing so, she particularly stands out for Han (Sung Kang), who falls in love with her.
Now a couple, Gisele and Han are of course there when Dom needs help to stop Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) in Fast & Furious 6. When Han is nearly killed by a member of Shaw’s team, she saves his life, but sacrifices herself in the process and plunges into the depths and to certain death. She even returned for Fast & Furious 7 to do a flashback. The scene was subsequently cut from the film.
But now we know she’s alive. Gisele is once again a character who was originally thought to be dead, but returns – like Letty or Han before her. This is an integral part of the series, which is why all the supposedly dead from “Fast & Furious 10” can be expected to return.
By the way, Gisele’s comeback was already mentioned in “Fast and Furious 9teased, when the character was surprisingly mentioned again. It was revealed that Gisele was working with Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell), which ultimately got Han recruited to the Agency in the first place.
However, in the final scene of Fast & Furious 10, it now appears that she is teaming up with Cipher. After all, she is the support she calls. Her past and the fact that Gisele knows about the secret Agency prison under Antarctica leads us to assume that she and Cipher are also working with Mr. Nobody and his daughter Tess (Brie Larson) – mainly because it was Tess who ended up the whole escape between Letty and Cipher.
Is Mr. Nobody the next returnee?
This would also allow Mr. Nobody to return from the dead in the future. Finally, it is striking how often Fast & Furious 10 mentions him as presumed dead, but no one knows if he really is.
Answers may have already been given”Fast and Furious 11also known as ‘Fast & Furious 10: Part 2’, which currently has no release date but will likely hit theaters in 2025. Actually, this should be the finale, but Vin Diesel recently explained that “Fast & Furious 12” aka “Fast & Furious 10: Part 3” should also come.
Maybe it really is the case that Diesel puts his big ego aside, in the sequel Dwayne Johnson is given priority for a parallel plot and then only in the twelfth film does the whole big family defeat Dante together. Let us surprise…
