Work “Temporary Landscapes”, at the National Theatre

The “Temporary Landscapes” feature, a journey of visual hallucinations, is set to open next week.

It covers the sensational itinerary, specific emotions and impulsescontemporary circus work created by the Panamanian collective La Tribu Performance together with the Finnish company ILMATILA, winner of the Iberescena Fund 2022-2023. and in co-production with the National Theater of Panama.

“Temporary Landscapes”, performed and coordinated by Panamanian artists Eleonora Dall`Asta and Ana María Suárez Together with the Finnish artist Ilona Jantti, he sets a metaphor for the constant conflict between the elements of man and nature. It will be presented on May 20 and 21 at the National Theatre.

The function explores the relationship between body and matter, transforming sensory aspects in the poetics of air movement, leaving a surreal vision of hanging scenes that are recreated in a space where everything is visible and what is not, giving birth to individual imagination.

The play gathers a series scenic and visual manifestations which use suspension by means of climbing harnesses and giant fabric so that the bodies of two -identical- performers intervene, creating a series of changing images that resemble different landscapes and climatic and sensory conditions.

The play is a play that integrates Latin American and Nordic culture, since it was created in a co-production between them Panama, Costa Rica, Peru and Finland.

The piece invites participants to recreate a sensory feeling, poetic, of diverse contours and movements, where the interpreters guide the viewer through these qualities within abstract experiences and through a sensory language that invites them to recognize space, commented Eleonora Dall`Asta.

It is a very high work quality, weight and skill contemporary and aerial dance.

The handshake that the artists will print will provide to the public viewer possibility appreciate the first world exhibition in the capital of Panama.

While the team international artists chosen, will have the mission that the viewer can appreciate quality work with specialized technical staff, said Ana Suárez.

Suárez calls on authorities and private companies to unite in supporting culture so that this sector can continue to reap successes and create spaces for a wider fabric within society.

In total 7 domestic and international artists in the range of 2 montage specialists for installation work or safety in the assembly of aerial stages, coming from Costa Rica, Daniel Zeledón and Israel Salazar; and multimedia artist and playwright, Eduardo Cardozo, from Peru, creator of the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Físico de Lima.
