4K TV with 65 inches cheap at Amazon: This Sony OLED sounds so good that you even save yourself a soundbar

The Sony Bravia currently costs 1,799 euros on Amazon and Otto*. This puts the two stores well below the competition’s prices. The second best offer in Germany is currently 1,999 euros.

Sony Bravia A80K: excellent display and great sound

The biggest asset of the Sony Bravia A80K is its OLED screen, which offers excellent color fidelity and sharp images with excellent contrast. Hifi.de describes the image quality in the test as “almost flawless”.

The Sony Bravia TV shows its muscles especially with films and series in the HDR format Dolby Vision. That’s good news for all streaming fans, because most providers such as Netflix and Disney + rely on Dolby Vision. Only Amazon Prime Video uses the competitor’s standard HDR10+ for its own productions such as “The Rings of Power”, which the Sony A80K renders in slightly less spectacular HDR10.

Game and sports broadcasts always run smoothly, thanks to the 120 Hz screen and the fast processor. The latter also ensures high-quality upscaling of Full HD content to 4K resolution. Two HDMI 2.1 ports enable control of NextGen consoles Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X with low input lag.

The powerful sound distinguishes the Sony Bravia A80K from the competition in this price segment. The magic word here is “Acoustic Surface Audio+” and stands for a special technology. With the A80K, the screen vibrates invisibly thanks to so-called actuators and generates an impressive sound that offers even more depth thanks to a subwoofer installed on the back.

Because the sound comes directly from the image, the Sony Bravia A80K knows how to reproduce the soundscape in a good spatial way. Naturally, high-end soundbars such as the Samsung HW-Q995GC offer much more. Nevertheless, the sound of the A80K is so neat that you according to computer image can save a soundbar.

The alternative: LG OLED CS

If you already have a soundbar or other sound system and you want a similarly strong image as the Sony A80K for less money, then the LG OLED CS9 is a possible alternative for you. You can currently get the 65-inch version from Amazon, Media Markt* And Saturn* for 1,444 euros.

According to Hifi.de, the LG OLED CS9 offers a picture that is just as good as the Sony Bravia A80K, but a much weaker sound. Here too you get 120 Hz, two HDMI 2.1 connections and Dolby Vision support, but you have to do without HDR10 +. The extensive equipment makes the CS9 an absolute price-performance tip.
