If you go on a trip or vacation in the mountain, you can end the day with a drink. Many hotels in the Alps have exclusive bars where you can order all kinds of soft drinks, as well as wine, champagne and cocktails. Whether for an aperitif or an after-dinner drink – here you can enjoy your stay in a relaxed atmosphere.

Bars are usually open from noon and offer a varied menu of snacks and hot meals. Depending on the location, here you will also find a wonderful view of nature, as well as open fires, art installations or, for example, live music. Here is a list of six luxury hotel bars in the Swiss mountains:

The W Living Room Lounge & Cocktail Bar at the Hotel W Verbier in the canton of Valais has a lot to offer: not only are there lots of drinks and snacks, but there is also a DJ playing lounge music for the guests. The decor is colorful, fun and yet elegant. Whether in front of the fireplace or on the terrace – you can spend a relaxed evening in this bar in the Swiss Alps.

It is open daily from 11:00 to 02:00.

From the bar lounge at Hotel Crans Ambassador in Crans-Montana VS you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountain scenery. From morning until evening, you can relax here on leather sofas and enjoy menu meals, hot and cold drinks or alcoholic beverages. There is live music on Friday and Saturday from 19:00.

It is open from 10:00 to 23:00 from Sunday to Thursday, and from 10:00 to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Sip cocktails in front of the open fire and listen to live music – you can do this at the Tschuggen Bar in the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa GR. There is a wide range of delicious drinks and snacks, and the bar menu even features signature cocktails from the Tschuggen Hotel Group. Wine lovers will get their money’s worth with the extensive wine list, and there’s also a cigar lounge.

Open every day from 11:00 to the open end.

Located in the canton of Graubünden, Hotel Castell Zuoz is known for its art collection and is a popular accommodation for culture buffs vacationing in the Engadin mountains. Designed by Swiss architect Gabrielle Hächler (64) and Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist (60), Red Bar is a great place to have a snack and taste delicious drinks, day or evening. The red and orange color as well as the shape, lighting and video installation add a special charm to the bar.

Closed from 27 March to 10 June 2023. It is open from 12:00 to midnight on 11 June 2023 during the summer season.

At The Bar and Living Room, you can pamper yourself with delicious cocktails or any other beverage of your choice, accompanied by live DJ music. The bar menu has something for every taste, both in terms of drinks and food. The Bar and Living Room is located at The Chedi Andermatt hotel in the canton of Uri. There are leather sofas, lots of wooden elements and several fireplaces that create a cozy atmosphere. In combination with dark natural tones and high ceilings, the bar looks very elegant.

Open daily from 12 pm to midnight.

If you are staying in Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland and want to visit a well-stocked bar, the bar at Hotel Le Grand Bellevue is the right place for you. The walls of the place are painted light green in harmony with the green bar and the zinc surface. The brown wooden floor and leather sofa blend well with the overall picture, while the purple armchairs contrast it. A variety of dishes and drinks are waiting to be tried.
