Mega Action on Amazon Prime Video: Stream “Matrix 4”, “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, “X” and More Now For Just 99 Cents

Normally Prime users can only look forward to a new campaign at the end of the month, in which Amazon offers films for less than a euro on its own streaming platform Amazon Prime Video. To get you in the mood for the second, unofficial Prime Day on October 11 and 12, 2022, such an offer is now available for a little bit earlier: From today (October 7) through Sunday (October 9) you can rent tons of movies on Amazon Prime Video for just 99 cents – with a selection that you rarely see anymore, as you can see for yourself on the overview page:

There are countless movies that only hit theaters a few months ago, and for us are even among the best movies of 2021 and 2022. So if you still need film material for the weekend, then you’ve come to the right place. As always, you have 30 days to watch a rented movie. Once started, you have 48 hours to finish a movie.

And for anyone who doesn’t already have a Prime subscription, there’s another reason to test the premium service from the shipping and streaming giant for at least a month for free: this is the only way to get access to thousands in the coming week Prime Day offers:

Stream now for 99 cents: these movies are worth it

“Everything everywhere at once”: The frenzied and hearty multiverse bash scores with great action sequences, an excellent cast and almost countless incredibly creative ideas that made “Everything Everywhere All At Once” even for a short time the greatest movie of all time. (4.5 stars)

*

“X”: Ti West’s new horror ingenuity is much more than just another Texas Chainsaw Massacre knock-off. You can expect strong characters, funny murders and arguably the best aquatic animal horror scene since Jaws. (4 stars)

*

“Matrix 4: Resurrections”: The series “Matrix” returns to the beginning and reinvents itself – offering not only visually stunning sci-fi action, but above all a refreshing and merciless reckoning with the dream factory and current trends in film and television. (4 stars)

*

“The Innocents”: What initially looks like the sandbox version of “X-Men” is ultimately a masterpiece as radical as it is devastating, keeping you entertained long after the credits have rolled out. Not for the faint of heart! (5 stars)

*

“The Norman”: Following his horror hits “The Witch” and “The Lighthouse”, Robert Eggers delivers a blood-soaked, visually stunning and intense Viking epic like you’ve never seen it before with “The Northman”. Well worth it, but probably not for everyone. (4 stars)

*

“King Richard”: The first trailer for the new movie starring Will Smith (“Emancipation”) has just been released, now you can stream his Oscar success “King Richard” for a bargain price. The story about the father of tennis sisters Venus and Serena Williams is rather formal, but technically strong. (3 stars)

*

“Vegans taste better”: Can humor not be black enough for you? Then you must have seen the bitter comedy about a butcher couple that processes vegan sausages. Assuming you have a strong stomach, the French Schlachtplatte has the 18 rating for a reason.

*

“Dear Thomas”: And German cinema is also represented. The highlight: the Thomas Barsch biopic “Dear Thomas” with Albrecht Schuch, which not only won nine (!) German film prizes, but is also one of the best films of the 2021 cinema year for us. (4.5 stars)

*

In addition, you will of course also find a lot of movies and series on Amazon Prime Video, which you can stream with your subscription at no extra cost. After (almost) the entire Bond saga landed on the platform this week, films like the horror epic will follow in the course of the month. “IT: Chapter 2”, “Spencer” with Kristen Stewart and the Science Fiction Secret “Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes”:
