Tip for fans of “Knives Out” & “Glass Onion”: murder hunt with “Guardians Of The Galaxy” star new in the home theater

In German cinemas, he is currently flying through space as part of the Marvel event film “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3”, but at the same time he is also hanging out in a home cinema reboot: Will Poulter, who already played a leading role in the ‘Maze Runner’ movies and the popular comedy We Are the Millers. While his latest cinema appearance is a wild and emotional sci-fi bash, he now lures home cinema with old British elegance.

Because Poulter stars in the multi-part series “A step into the void”, which stars “Dr. House” star Hugh Laurie based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name. A Step Into the Void was released this week on Blu-rayand offers new and established fans of the ingenious crime writer approximately three hours of comprehensive crime entertainment.

Parallel to the Blu-ray there is also one DVD edition* of the British multipart on the market additionally enters “A step into the void”. Subscription to RTL+* current.

“A Step into the Void”: A Murder Hunt in a Welsh Coastal Town

Bobby Jones (Will Poulter) finds a dying man who whispers a strange question to him: “Why didn’t you ask Evans?” His girlfriend Lady Frankie Derwent (Lucy Boynton) doubts that. So they hunt for clues – and find out not only that the mystery man has been murdered, but that they’re now on the hit list…

Other roles include “Game Of Thrones” mime Conleth Hill, Emma Thompson and “Cloud Atlas” star Jim Broadbent, with Hugh Laurie not only directing, but also starring in a supporting role. His adaptation of Agatha Christie was praised in the British press for, among other things, the elegant costume and set design and the flawless way in which the book was retold on film.

The novel “A Step into the Void” was first published in 1934 and received very positive response from press and readers at the time. And that hasn’t changed since – the immensely influential author’s 15th crime novel continues to be published as equally lively and entertaining, but also exciting and inviting to solve the puzzle described.

But since several cases of such popular Christie creations as Poirot and Miss Marple are much more famous thanks to successful film adaptations, “A step into the void” has the status of a quasi insider tip. This is already true for Christie lovers and, of course, twice as much as for those who have tasted blood through homages such as “Knives Out”, “Glass Onion”, “See How They Run” and Co….
