That’s what “Pearl” is all about
Pearl (Goth) lives on a remote farm in the heart of conservative Texas. The year is 1918, the end of World War I is approaching and the Spanish flu is raging. Together with her domineering mother Ruth (Tandi Wright), Pearl takes care of her frail father (Matthew Sunderland) – but what she really wants is a completely different life. She wants to be a star and already sees herself on the big screen.
Pearl’s passion for blood, murder and death is evident in her dealings with the animals on her farm and also in caring for her father. In combination with her almost unattainable movie dream and a glamorous life, the road to a psychotic bloodlust is paved – as the trailer already shows in bright colors and clear images.

“MaXXXine” will end Ti West’s horror trilogy. Although the “X” prequel “Pearl” is not yet in theaters, there is already news about the sequel “MaXXXine”, which will also star Mia Goth.
