New sci-fi movie from Marvel director and “Harry Potter” creator – even “Star Wars” has to wait

Harry Potter and Paddington creator David Heyman has acquired the rights to adapt the novel Clare and the Sun by Japanese-British writer Kazuo Ishiguro. Praised for its treatment of themes of love, loss, loneliness, and the human need for meaning and significance, Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel is set to make waves as a theatrical adaptation. After Ishiguro’s “Everything We Had to Give”, among others, was filmed with an impressive cast around Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley, the stars should be lining up again here.

In the magazine one expects that so many actresses in their twenties will be interested in the lead role of Klara that it will become one of the most requested roles in this field. Taika Waititi prefers Klara to Star Wars

Noisy Waititi thought long and hard about what movie to do after Thor 4: Love And Thunder before deciding on Klara and the Sun. He reportedly prioritized the project over the Star Wars movie he’s been developing for a while, but wasn’t part of the recent new titles announcement – perhaps because Waititi has already communicated that he’s working on something else for now. do?

Waititi be loud by the way, still determined to make his Star Wars movie. This may be a 2024 project, but if negotiations with Heyman to collaborate on Klara und die Sonne are completed soon, this will likely be Waititi’s next film and could be shot later this year.

Incidentally, the sports comedy “Next Goal Wins” based on a true story will be released in cinemas by the New Zealand director (theatrical release: November 16, 2023). The project was originally filmed in 2019 before “Thor 4”, but was massively delayed due to reshoots and the removal of Armie Hammer, who originally played a supporting role.
