Initial situation: Both spouses want a divorce

In this case, a divorce case is not sought, a joint written petition for divorce must be submitted. This is determined in a divorce agreement, which also includes the divorce procedures (arranging alimony, division of the pension fund, etc.).

Do you need a lawyer for a divorce settlement?

Spouses can write a divorce agreement themselves. There are sample forms in the books with instructions on how to do this. Additionally, most courts offer free templates to download.
