Linda Astwood: Beginnings and literary projects

In “Letters to Valentina” (2015), writer and lawyer Linda Astwood included some fragments of things she had written during a certain period of her life as epistles between two people who were far away.

Astwood (40) is a lawyer by profession, does not work in the country, but developed in the field of real estate, goods and roots, and marketing. In addition, as a writer, she runs two projects, both aimed at supporting new writers.

WITH “Storytelling Ando”the writer’s initiative, which started in 2019, helps in novice writers publish your work through workshops and tutorials, and offers other services related to the publishing process, such as proofreading and cover design.

Another project he is working on is Independent Writers of Panama (Einpa), where she holds the position of president from 2020. He explained that there are currently over 90 self-published writers (unaffiliated with a publisher) subscribed from a variety of genres, and the community’s mission is promotion of author’s works through fairs or events organized by public or private entities.

Regarding future projectsthe writer is working on new publications, one under the umbrella of “Narrando Ando”, there will be book type manual with experiences of working with different authors, techniques and tools for publishing their works, intended especially for beginning writers or those who want to become writers.

Astwood intends to publish this work this year. In addition, he is working on two other works, without a publication date, once novel and a book of stories and poetry.

He emphasized that the novel is set in an ancient city. “It will have historical aspects, but also related to faith and religionAstwood said.
