No one expected that! Charlie Sheen and the makers of ‘Two And A Half Men’ are making a new series

It was probably one of the most spectacular evictions in TV history. After leading the cast of the cult sitcom Two And A Half Men for eight seasons, Charlie Sheen was fired in 2011 for his drug problems and increasingly abusive behavior (particularly towards series creator Chuck Lorre). Years later, Sheen followed up on the case, calling Lorre a “talentless bunch of shit” in 2017.

It is therefore all the more surprising that grass has apparently grown over it. Even though Sheen has taken a softer tone lately, the impending reunion was still hard to imagine for many. But now it’s clear: Charlie Sheen stars in Chuck Lorre’s new comedy series, How To Be A Bookie. This is reported by the American trade journal First.

This is how you become a bookie

Sheen’s role isn’t just a one-time guest appearance, but actually a recurring supporting role in multiple episodes. It is not yet known what kind of character he embodies exactly. Meanwhile, Sebastian Maniscalco will star. The actor, known for the Oscar success “Green Book” and Martin Scorsese’s Netflix gangster epic “The Irishman”, will embody a bookie facing the imminent legalization of sports betting and many customer problems**** **** ** and family struggling to keep their heads above water.

TV veteran Chuck Lorre, who is also behind series hits such as “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mom”, will produce his latest series project for the American streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max). The first season will also contain episodes. It is still unclear when exactly they will appear and how they will come to Germany.

Charlie Sheen’s Big Comeback?

With the renewed partnership of former brawlers Sheen and Lorre, “How To Be A Bookie” should surely receive a decisive boost in attention and thus inspire a possible comeback from the former “Hot Shot” star, whose career is at the cusp of its follow-up sitcom, Two And A Hald Men, has gone fairly quiet (drama 9/11 and comedy Mad Families largely died in 2017).

In addition to How To Be A Bookie, he’ll also play a major role in Ramble On, though there’s no sign of life from Entourage creator Doug Ellin’s new showbiz drama series.
