The 65-year-old Argentine singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner managed to put up a no-tickets sign at six concerts of his tour in the United States and at one planned in Toronto (Canada) next Friday.
Organizers of the artist’s tour reported this Monday in a statement that Montaner managed to get the public to buy all the tickets for the concerts he offered last weekend in the cities washington and new yorkduring his tour of cities in the United States.
Additionally, the tour’s next Toronto show is sold out “I miss you” through 16 cities in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico that began on March 31.
“I am grateful and amazed by the support of Frpublic in this new tour of mine for the United States,” the singer-songwriter said.
“This is the third tour I have done with the entertainment company Loud And Live and the longest of my career on the continent,” he added.
“It’s always nice to have that direct contact with your audience, and even more so when you’re singing in front of a full house,” Montaner said after an appearance Saturday at House of the Rockettes, at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
“These six sold out shows are a demonstration of the influence that only great artists like Montaner continue to maintain over the years, confirming that he is an icon of a generation,” commented Nelson Albareda, Director Loud and live.
On March 31, Montaner released his single “Yo no fumo” featuring Mexican singer Carlos Rivera.
Montaner, who released his first studio album “Cada día” in 1983, has sold more than 20 million records in his career.
