With the film adaptation of Stephen King “It”, Andy Muschietti has managed to stage the most successful horror film of all time. No wonder the topic is far from over even after “It – Chapter 2”. It has also been known for some time that with “Welcome To Derry” we can expect a series that is in the “It” universe and understands a history of the films.
Details about the series are still being kept secret. However, you already know who will be in front of the camera. Alongside Taylour Paige (“Zola”), Jovan Adepo (“Babylon”), Chris Chalk (“Perry Mason”) and James Remar (“Oppenheimer”) are now Stephen Rider (“Marvel’s Daredevil”) and Madeleine Stowe (“12 Monkeys”). “) has been confirmed for the series. Stowe will reportedly guest star, while Rider will be part of the main cast.
It is not yet known in which roles the actors will be seen. But you know Bill Skarsgård probably won’t return as Pennywise. Like the actor last in a interview revealed that he was not asked to reprise his role as the iconic clown. Who will play Pennywise instead has not yet been announced.

As we know, Welcome To Derry is set in Derry, a city invented by Stephen King. This comes up time and time again in his novels and short stories – and of course “It” is also based in Derry. Exactly what story the series will tell remains to be seen. Pussyetti has already announced that this is set in the 1960s.
Mussetti will direct some episodes of Welcome To Derry, including the pilot. He also acts as a producer along with his sister Barbara Muschietti. Jason Fuchs (“Wonder Woman”) and Brad Caleb Kane (“Aladdin”) serve as showrunners.
