Marc Anthony brings together celebrities in a charity golf tournament

Music stars such as Chayanne, Luis Fonsi and Yandel or Baseball Hall of Famer Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez will participate on May 9 in Miami, Florida (USA) in the Maestro Cares Foundation golf tournament of singer Marc Anthony to raise funds for underprivileged children in Latin America and the United States.

The organization announced Thursday that the Biltmore Hotel course in Coral Gables, a city near Miami, will host, in cooperation with the PGA TOUR, the second annual Maestro Cares Foundation golf tournament, which was started in 2012 by Marc Anthony and businessman Henry Cárdenas, according to in the press release.

This year’s edition follows the one held in April 2022, which gathered on the same stage Juan “Chi Chi” RodriguezWorld Golf Hall of Famer, the aforementioned “Pudge” and former NFL player Nat Moore, Mark “Super” Duper and John Offerdahl, as well as artists Nicky Jam and Pedro Capó, among others.

Puerto Rican singers are on the list of celebrities who will participate in this year’s tournament Chayanne, Luis Fonsi and yandelas well as Latin media personalities such as Tony Dandrades, Enrique Santos, Rico León (HGTV) and DJ Extreme.

Other people who will participate are retired LPGA player Tammie Green and an artist Romero Brito.

Marc Anthony, co-founder of the Maestro Cares Foundation, said of the event that he was pleased to “join forces with the PGA TOUR” to increase “the visibility of this tournament that will provide critical resources to families and children in need.”

“It is a blessing to continue to make a difference for youth and others Latino communities along with the Maestro Cares Foundation, and events like this help us continue to grow,” said the New Yorker.

Anthony and Henry Cárdenas started in 2012 Master Cares Foundation with a mission to provide safe places for children in the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, Guatemala, Peru, El Salvador, Bolivia, Chile, Puerto Rico and the United States.
