Maribel Guardia: ‘God gave it to me and God took it away’

Actress Maribel Guardia spoke to the media after the death of her son Julián Figueroa at the age of 27.

Despite his pain, he shared details about his son’s death on April 9.

The actress told reporters; “Thanks a lot. I really appreciate him very much, he was my love, the apple of my eyes, it was very hard to lose him, but God gave him to me and God took him from me, I leave him in their hands”.

“I had so much to go. Julian he was starting his career, he had 500 compositions, he rode a horse, he played the piano, he played the guitar; but that’s how it was,” he added.

In the meeting with the journalists, she was accompanied by the wife of her deceased son, Imelda Tunon.

Maribel Guardia said that it was Imelda who gave the strong news Jose Julian, his five-year-old grandson.

“I thank God that he left me this beautiful girl, my daughter-in-law whom I adore and a precious baby that we have to take care of and I tell him that his father died, that he is an angel, but he still doesn’t understand,” he mentioned.

On the decision not to do a funeral for his sonMaribel stated that one of the reasons was to prevent her grandson from seeing the lifeless body, because “it would be very traumatic for him.”
