The ‘Shiftmakers’ talks are coming to Panama

After a year, in which they asked for a license to hold the “Shiftmakers” talk in Spanish, finally on April 15, this event will be held for the first time at the Anita Villalaz Theater with the participation of 12 speakers and curator Ironda Díaz.

For several years, according to Díaz, they collaborated with TED (a platform known for its “TEDTalks” given by world leaders), however, it is a bit closed, and Shiftmakers, on the other hand, is “more social”. Additionally, the talks were only for the United States and once licensed, the Spanish-speaking public will have access to them.

The “Shiftmakers” conversations (https://shiftmakers.info/) aim to spark interest in issues that affect the future of humanity and encouraged to share personal experiences with others as a first measure to overcome doubt and move from facts to action.

Díaz, for his part, stated that Purpose is that conversations have positive social impact and that the participants leave the theater better people. “(…) all conversations are focused on that,” said the curator, adding that behind the participation speakers there is a two-month preparation.

The meeting, which will take place at 2:00 p.m., promises to be an evening of not only sharing stories of impact, but also serving to networking and capture ideas to positively change the world.

Speakers are experts in their areas of expertise and will present innovative ideas in areas such as technologyhe Environmentthe music, musicthe health and educationamong others.

Conversations will be recorded and will allow a audience can access more widely we speak speakers and consider their ideas in more detail.

The curator of the event emphasized that public can buy tickets events with speakers or at the theater box office.
