A crime series with sex and a crime series in which sex does not come first – that is what Netflix offers today. In any case, both productions could be exciting. We will introduce you to “Obsession” and “Florida Man” in more detail.
Fate by writer Josephine Hart was a fairly successful book in 1991 and was on the international bestseller lists for quite some time. It was therefore not long before the film version of the erotic thriller hit the cinemas. With Juliette Binoche and Jeremy Irons in the lead roles, ‘Faith’ also made it to the cinemas. Netflix has now re-released the material – serially!
You can do that from April 13obsessionstreaming on Netflix. Instead of Binoche and Irons, the main roles are this time played by “The Hobbit” actor Richard Armitage and Charlie Murphy (“Peaky Blinders”). Also present: Game of Thrones actress Indira Varma.
This is what Neflix’s “Obsession” is all about
William (Armitage) has everything he’s always wanted: a great career and the love of his life, Ingrid (Varma). When his son Martyn (Rish Shah) announces that he wants to get married, happiness is complete. Until William meets Martyn’s future wife and falls in love with her at first sight. He begins an affair with Anna (Murphy) and soon becomes entangled in a vortex of desire, lies and delusion.
Anna does not want to end either relationship and chooses a seedy life. And William can’t let go of his son’s wife either and is downright obsessed with the secret affair. It soon becomes clear that this collaboration cannot end well…
This is Florida man
If you don’t feel like unbridled sex, but don’t want to miss a thriller series, you should check out “Florida Man”. The eight-part Netflix production is about former police officer Mike Valentine (Edgar Ramirez), who does quite a few crooked things. He would have to return to his native Florida to find the girlfriend of a mob boss. Mike takes on the task and soon realizes it will be anything but easy.
After all, not only does he have a dangerous job to do, but he also has to deal with the past at the same time – he left Florida for a reason many years ago…
