XIX National Congress of Science and Technology Apanac 2023

In this edition of the National Congress of Science and Technology Apanac, the motto of the congress is “Panama: the scientific center.”

The Panamanian Association for the Advancement of Science (Apanac) reported that version 2023 of this event will be held from September 26 to 29, 2023 at the Marriott Panama Hotel (Albrook Mall).

The congress will bring together scientists, academics and experts from disciplines such as life sciences sustainabilitynatural sciences, engineering sciences and technologies, health sciences, agricultural sciences, humanities and social sciences, and science education, including doctors Vaughan Turekian, Carlos R. Ordóñez, Luis Santamaría Galdon, José María Figueres, Claudia Romano, and Vicenç Font Moll.

“The main goal of the congress is the exchange of national and international experiences, the establishment of an alliance of cooperation and R+D+i work, and the secondary goal is the visualization of research and innovation work which are implemented at the national level regional and international presented by researchers, students and research staff in different research units”, pointed out Dr. Luisa Morales Maure, president of the congress.

On his part, Dr. Jose Fabrega Duque, President Apanac added: “During the congress, the latest scientific and technological achievements in Panama and the region will be discussed in different fields to promote cooperation and exchange of ideas among participants from sectors such as academia, society, government and industry”.

Period for receiving abstracts of scientific papers i reception of symposiums, tribunes and round tables is open via the page congreso.apanac.org.pa, where the program of presentations and activities of the congress will soon be published.

In the final activity of the congress, the National Research Awards will be awarded, such as the Apanac-Senacyt Student Award 2023, the Research Excellence Award, the Ana Sánchez Urrutia Medal for Scientific Perseverance and the Mahabir P. Gupta Medal for Young Investigators.
