‘Stranger Things’ will have its own animated series on Netflix

The successful series “Stranger Things” will premiere its animated version on Netflix, the streaming service that served as a showcase for four seasons of the original production, the platform announced on Monday.

Brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the cult saga, will work together again in this series, which still has no official title or release date and for which almost all details are unknown.

Among them, the one that interests the followers the most franchise: if the main actors want Millie Bobby BrownFinn Woolhard, Noah SchnappCaleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sin, Joe Keery, David Harbor and Charlie Heaton will voice some characters.

“We always dreamed of an animated version “Stranger Things” which follows the line of the Saturday morning drawings we grew up with. It’s amazing to see this dream come true,” Matt and Ross Duffer said in a statement, referring to productions as “He Man and The Masters of the Universe” (1983).

The film will be directed by Eric Robles with the Duffer Brothers producing along with Dan Cohen, and will be promoted by the Flying Bark animation company based in sydney (Australia).

The success of Netflix with the series

“Stranger Things” is the most successful English-language series in Netflix history, adding more than 1.3 billion hours watched only in the first month of release.

In addition, the platform has signed a contract with the Duffers so that it is the fifth and last season also come to your platform.

On the other hand, Matt and Ross Duffer recently confirmed that they will premiere a play in London called “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” and that they are preparing another “spin-off” (derived work, in Spanish) of the original.
