The “Star Wars” saga continues: fans can look forward to three new films from the space saga. Each will cover different eras in Star Wars history, said Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, a studio acquired by Disney in 2012.

Pakistan-born Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct. Director James Mangold is said to be making another movie – his movie will be about the origins of the Jedi Order. The third film will be directed by Dave Filoni, who has produced several Star Wars-based television series, including the hugely successful third season of The Mandalorian.
