In “The Night Agent”, DB Woodside, who is also known for the series success “Lucifer”, plays the veteran Secret Service agent Erik Monks, who is tasked with Maddie (Sarah Desjardins), the college student daughter of the Vice President, to protect. As this is the target of conspirators, Monks allies himself with protagonist Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso).
As in Lucifer, Woodside became a fan favorite with his supporting role in The Night Agent. The part is made by serial maker Shawn Ryan invented specifically for the adaptation – because the character does not exist in the original novel. This made preparation a little more difficult for Woodside – but he found help from an ex-colleague…

On the American TV show “Woodside revealed that while speaking to a former Secret Service employee, his primary goal was to connect with as many veterans as possible.
