Sweethearts get their money’s worth at Easter.

It’s the first time we’ve had a real meal since the barren winter. Unfortunately, chocolate bunnies and the like are pretty calorie bombs. Therefore, it is a great touchstone for those who want to lose weight.

Chocolate is delicious, no doubt about it. The problem: chocolate doesn’t really fill you up. Better take the Easter bunny as a model and gnaw the carrots.

No giving up on chocolate

But giving up sweets isn’t easy for everyone. But bans increase appetite, so experts recommend snacking on a small piece of sugar every day. It is important to plan the daily dose of sugar tightly – but not to exceed it.

How to save calories

Calories can also be hidden in the Easter menu without tasting the diet. The classic calorie bombs are cream sauces (three tablespoons), which add 43 calories per serving. A hard-boiled egg has relatively few calories—about 80. You can eat three of them at Easter brunch.

Eggs also contain the amino acids arginine and ornithine. These promote the strength that suits the festival of dread. Clever weight fighters plan low-calorie treats for brunch: for example, a large slice of vegetable cake has the same number of calories as a small piece of Easter cake. For stuffed chocolate eggs (1 pc = 100 kcal!) rhubarb mousse with fresh strawberries would be a good alternative (see recipes).

Fattening foods are also remoulade and mayonnaise (more than 200 calories per serving) and ready-made salad dressing. Mustard sauces contain five times fewer calories.

On cold and rainy Easter days, one likes to succumb to the temptation of sitting with family in a warm room or on the couch. It is also important to combine activities and movement in daily life in your spare time. Taking a walk by the lake or working in the garden instead of watching a movie in the afternoon also helps recharge your batteries with vitamin D.
