Thriller with a twist – this is probably the last film from legendary director Clint Eastwood

Juror #2, written and directed by Clint Eastwood, will be a thriller with an interesting premise. The focus is on a juror at a murder trial. During the trial, the main character soon realizes that she is actually responsible for the murder committed and now faces a dilemma: admit the crime and go to jail yourself, or manipulate the jury into putting an innocent man behind bars and remain free yourself.

Eastwood will direct the film for Warner, which has starred in all of its projects since 2008’s Gran Torino. What sounds self-evident is nevertheless viewed with great interest in the industry. After all, new Warner boss David Zaslav explicitly called the Eastwood film “Cry Macho” when he took office, criticizing the studio’s previous “waste of money”. Following an employee’s reply that they had been working with Eastwood for many years and that the studio had had many hits so that even a flop could be forgiven, a copy of the Tom Cruise movie “Jerry Maguire” followed that went viral in Hollywood. Zaslav’s statement: “”

At the time, many feared that with Zaslav’s focus on existing brands like DC and Harry Potter, filmmakers with original material like Eastwood wouldn’t stand a chance at Warner. Before the announcement of another Eastwood film, other film production projects now managed by Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy made it clear that this is not the case. Warner even recently recruited a filmmaker known for his original material, M. Night Shyamalan from the competition.

“Juror #2”: billed as the last movie – but with a question mark!

What is more interesting now is that “Juror #2” could not only be the 40th cinema directing, but also the very last film in the long and dazzling career of acting legend Clint Eastwood. Like the page that reports first on the project reports the project has been referred to, at least internally, as Eastwood’s last film – although sources from the production environment still put a question mark behind it.

So it seems that Eastwood is determined to make this his last movie and really intends to retire completely after that. But many people around him don’t really want to believe in it. If Eastwood continues to get the lust after that, his words from before should no longer interest him.

Not much is known about the casting and schedule for “Juror #2”. only reports Eastwood already has “a young Hollywood star in mind for the lead role”. However, the magazine does not name it.
