In recent days, the project “Transformation of Livestock Activity for the Recovery of the Middle Trinidad River” was launched in Nueva Arenos, Capira, with the participation of about 32 farmers.
Funded by Fundación Natura – Fund FIDECO, and implemented by Fundación Codesa, chaired by forest engineer Marcos Riquelme Jaén, the project aims to recover ecosystems and protect identified conservation sites.
According to Riquelme Jaén, it encourages the implementation of sustainable alternatives for the population and at the same time contributes to the reduction environmental problems such as advancing agricultural frontier, effects climate changesthe pollution of water sources and loss of ecological characteristics ecosystem and others.
