Rumors of this have been rife throughout the DC movie’s long history, and it’s nice to see it come full circle in a way – and the movie becomes something of a farewell show for the old DCEU and its stars (aka “Aquaman 2 ” only appears afterwards).
In addition to Ezra Miller in the title role and Michael Keaton’s comeback as Batman, Sasha Calle also stars as Supergirl and Ben Affleck as Batman in The Flash. That much was already known. But Affleck, who had already fueled anticipation for the movie and its execution, now revealed another DC guest star: After GalGadot all-in “Shazam 2: Anger of the Gods‘ came by for a guest appearance, she will also appear in ‘The Flash’.

Affleck appeared on co-stars Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett’s Smartless podcast to promote his new movie Air, but Arnett, a spokesperson for The Lego Batman Movie, asked him about Batman. Like Tom Cruise before him, Ben Affleck hailed The Flash into the sky and reiterated that it was his best performance as the Dark Knight before dropping the bombshell:
Bateman, Hayes and Arnett wanted to know exactly why “The Flash” was his best Batman performance. Affleck’s response: “There’s a scene where I’m saved by Wonder Womanduring an altercation with some bad guys. […] She saves me with the lasso of truth. And then Batman reveals some of his true feelings about his life and work.
That’s when the penny dropped, so to speak, Affleck continued. In conversation with his colleagues, he even jokes that he doubted whether he really wanted to leave the role of Batman behind. But you shouldn’t read (or hear) too much into it, after all Affleck has already made his departure more than clear and only recently explained the reasons for it.
“Wonder Woman” year 2023
But let’s go back to Wonder Woman: In addition to “Shazam 2” and “The Flash,” Gal Gadot is apparently also in “aquarius 2‘ to see, which will hit German cinemas on December 21, 2023. It was rumored over and over — just like ‘The Flash’ — but ‘Shazam 2’ star Jack Dylan Grazer recently confirmed Wonder Woman’s appearance in one interview.
Gal Gadot comes straight from the Aquaman 2 set to Shazam! Fury Of The Gods,” Jack Dylan told Grazer, walking around there with soaking feet like a mermaid. Evidently So Gal Gadot will actually appear in three of the four DC movies in 2023 – let’s wait and see if she also appears in the fourth movie “Blue Beetle” which will premiere on August 17, 2023.
