Madonna will hold a concert to support the trans community

Madonna added another date to her tour “The Celebration Tour” in Nashville (Tennessee) to raise funds for organizations that defend the rights of trans people, after the law was adopted in that American state that prohibits the performances of “drag queens”.

On March 3, the state in Tennesseee became the first territory in the United States to ban this type of “performance” in public and in places where they can be seen by minors, in addition to approving another rule that limits minors’ access to sex-change therapy.

“Oppression of the collective LGBTQ+ This is not only unacceptable and inhumane, but creates an unsafe environment and makes America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color,” wrote the “Queen of Pop” on her Instagram profile.

The singer called this new law “miserable” that will come into force July 1st and assured that he will dedicate his presentation in the city of Nashville, on December 22, to celebrating how “wonderful the queer community is” along with Christopher Caldwell, better known as Bob The Drag Queen.

Part of the income from the concert will go to organizations that defend the rights of trans people, writes the specialized magazine Rolling Stone.

In addition to the new date in Nashville, the author material girl“added seven more dates in US cities such as Washington DC, Palm Springs, Sacramento, Phoenix, San Francisco and Las Vegas.

The tour promises to immerse the public in an “artistic journey” through the singer’s career from her first album, “Madonna,” in 1983, to her latest, “Madame X,” in 2019, including a tribute to New York, the city where she began her career.

The first match is next July 15 at the stadium Rogers from Vancouver (Canada), from where they will head to other large capacity halls in Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami and Los Angeles.
