Prince Harry, in a London court

Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, went to the High Court in London on Monday for a hearing on his lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail tabloid, Associated Newspapers (ANL), for alleged illegal collection of private data.

The presence of the Duke of Sussex in London, which has been a surprise since he lives in Los Angeles (USA) after leaving the British royal house in 2020, is related to the lawsuits he and other celebrities have filed against the publisher.

Celebrities also include musician Elton John and actress Liz Hurley and Sadie Frost.

Their lawyers said at the time that the group had “become aware of compelling and deeply disturbing evidence that they had been victims of appalling criminal activity and serious breaches of privacy” by ANL, also the publisher of The Mail On Sunday.

The group believed that the illegal actions included recruitment private investigators secretly installing listening devices in cars and homes and recording private telephone conversations.

The publisher responded to the accusations by describing them at the time as “absurd slander”.

Today’s visit is preliminary as the court process is expected to last several days.

After leaving the royal household, Prince Harry criticized his family and the alleged mistreatment of his wife Meghan.

These criticisms appeared through interviews given to various media for the purpose of promoting his memoirs. “In the Shadows”, It went on sale last January.

The Duke continues to cause confusion with every step he takes, as he has been one of the most controversial members of the royal family in recent years.

Apparently, Prince Henry is alone in London, as this is a purely legal visit.
