Ash Olivera and his time in the cinema

With his role in the novel “The Poor Millionaire” by Ash Oliver, a nationalized Panamanian of Argentine-Uruguayan origin, he opened the way to the world of cinematography and television.

He played the main and supporting roles for feature and short films for the cinema, series and soap operas for television and commercials.

He played his first leading role in 2018 in “Sin Pepitas en la Lengua” directed by Carlos García de Paredes.

Olivera continues to reap the rewards of her talent, being part of the cast of an untitled romantic comedy shooting in the port of Cadiz, Spain.

For her, this is an excellent opportunity to be an international ambassador for her colleagues from Panama, and with this recording and her work, she wants to position the country on the world cinematographic map and show the strength and perseverance of Latin women.

It wasn’t easy to get to this point. To be part of this lineup, he had to pass three auditions. Therefore, participating in this production is an inexplicable emotion and an adventure that allows her to live from her passion, which is acting.

“Getting up every day to have breakfast with the whole cast (actors) and crew (technical team), exchange anecdotes from different countries and have a few laughs, then enter this 16th century galley that takes us back in time and start shooting scenes when we are already at sea, it’s magical,” he said.

He also mentioned that, “Right now I can’t tell you much about the production, but as soon as I can I promise to tell you more details. I’m just letting you know that a big part of this movie will be shot in Panama.”

“The most important thing is the synergy of teamwork. No one can make a production just because of more experience. Be humble at all times and recognize the efforts of others, because everyone contributes to the final result,” he said about learning these years in the world of film.
