The list of Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpieces is long, but “Vertigo – From the Realm of the Dead” not only holds a special place in the filmography of the director’s mastermind, but is also a highlight in the entire international film history. “Vertigo” regularly appears at the top of charts and polls and is considered by critics to be one of the most important films of all time – the film technology alone was a milestone at the time. But even such an exceptional film is not immune from a remake treatment as now the extraordinary 1958 thriller is actually going to be re-released. How reported that Paramount wants to make a remake of “Vertigo”. Starring in the original by James Stewart was played, supposed to be superstar Robert Downey Jr. (“Iron Man”) hatch. A screenwriter has also been found in Steven Knight and the film is being produced by Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey.
“Peaky Blinders” creator and “Spencer” author Steven Knight should have some work on his desk in the near future. We recently reported that he’s been hired as a writer for the next Star Wars movie, which is set to hit theaters in December 2025. It is not yet known when the new “Vertigo” will start. Nothing is known about the rest of the cast.

John “Scottie” Ferguson (James Stewart) is a police officer who quits his job after a chase across the rooftops of San Francisco. The mission ended in trauma and Scottie not only feels guilty, but now has a fear of heights. He no longer sees himself capable of working as a police officer.
Some time later, Scottie is asked by a former classmate (Tom Helmore) to shadow his wife Madeleine (Kim Novak). Scottie is initially hesitant about taking the job, but then agrees. This is the beginning of a journey to hell for him, which in the end is not only about the question of true love, but also about life and death.
