Sex, Happiness and Fatigue!

class=”sc-97fd9fa8-0 jNFKxv”>

Birds are chirping, bees are buzzing, and the first buds are already sprouting on trees and bushes. Nature has long noticed: Spring has come! But not only flora and fauna react to a change in weather. The changes are noticeable in us humans too.

With the arrival of spring, expectations increase. As a result of visible processes in nature, the expectation for more is rising. This often manifests itself in the form of enthusiasm; Many people get the impression that life has begun again.

Our hormonal balance plays a big role in this. As the days get longer and the sunlight becomes more intense, our brain produces less of the hormone melatonin, a hormone that controls the body’s circadian rhythm. If less melatonin is secreted, people can get by with less sleep. It feels fresher and more alive. Sunlight also increases the release of the happiness hormone serotonin.

Is it true that in the spring our hormones turn upside down and that’s why we’re more likely to fall in love? The typical “spring feelings” aren’t just caused by hormones. We will be among the people again in the spring. This creates more opportunities to fall in love again.

Existing partnerships can also benefit from the spring. Instead of sitting on the sofa at home, more things are done together. Through these shared experiences, the partnership can be rediscovered.

Spring brings pain too

But watch out! Not everyone is happy with spring. For many hayworms, the beginning of spring is actually the worst time of the year. The nose constantly runs, the throat itches. Medications are often the only thing that can help.

Spring fatigue is also a negative phenomenon. Moving the body from winter to spring requires a lot of energy. Hormone balance turns upside down, the body has to do more. Therefore, especially older people often feel apathetic and indifferent.
