Before the Oscars 2023: Here’s how to quickly stream the nominated films – on Netflix, Disney+, Amazon and Co.

At the 95th Oscars, presented by evening speaker Jimmy Kimmel, the German Netflix war drama “Nothing New in the West” and the wacky multiverse spectacle “Everything Everywhere All At Once” compete for the coveted top prize as best picture of 2022. Edward Bergers’ Nothing New in the West’ made history. It is the first German entry to be nominated in this main category. There were nine nominations in total. With eleven nominations, “Everything Everywhere All At Once” has the most of the evening and ranks as a firm favorite – if the conservative part of the Academy isn’t still siding with Germany’s Netflix contribution. Or is there a big surprise and a completely different movie wins?

In order to participate in the discussion, should you still use the remaining time to perhaps catch up with one or the other nominated title? Many are already available on streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video. We tell you where to stream which movie:

Oscars 2023: This is how you can watch the broadcast live on TV

Also this year, the TV channel ProSieben will broadcast the Oscars 2023 again on German free TV. Alternatively, there is also the option to follow the award ceremony in the ProSieben app and in the live stream on prosieben.de if you do not have TV reception. But you have to register there (for free).

Important: The awards ceremony itself will start at 01:00 AM on the night of March 12-13, 2023. However, the pre-show will start at 11:25 PM “red. The Oscar Countdown – Live from the Red Carpet”, although the title is not entirely appropriate this year. The traditional carpet the stars walk on is not red for the first time in decades. It’s champagne colored.
