Education: Games to improve concentration

Thousands of children and adolescents returned to the classroom this week, and the fundamental aspect for everything to go well is that the children can concentrate on each lesson.

To strengthen the ability to concentrate, it is necessary training and this can be achieved in a playful way through games, according to experts.

the lack of concentration This is the main cause of the drop in student achievement.

The game has great uses some of which we will mention: they help neurocognitive stimulation, the development of creativity, imagination, mathematical skills and concentration, says psychologist Haydeé Rodríguez from the Integra Panama Center (@integrapanamacp), located in La Chorrera.

There are games that require a high level of attention to develop and this process forces the brain to concentrate most of its thoughts on achieving unique criteria and being able to develop; the stimulation of focused concentration makes us train our minds in a more fun way than being put to study.

A game of memory and logical reasoning a fundamental role between the synaptic connections that are created and the ability to paralyze external stimuli develops and concentrates on the main activity of the game, shares Rodríguez (@haydeerodriguezoficial).

There are studies that reveal that there is a better learning process when it is used game as a strategy for stimulating cognitive processes, says the psychologist in an exclusive interview for Panama America.

Today, there is a wide variety of games, so it is increasingly difficult to know which one games purchases that contain educational content. For this reason, the psychologist mentions some of the games that encourage attention and concentration are:

– Creativity and imagination: putty, crafts, painting: freedom of expression And being honest is something common in children and adolescents, which is why playing this type of game forces them to carry out an integrative process of attention and concentration, because many external and internal factors play a role in achieving the goal.

– Construction: Lego blocks, puzzles, cubes: by manual execution it is possible to carry out mental planning that can be made a reality with these games; maintain attention and concentration to capture all the details, symmetrical proportions to achieve balance in the construction and not to be damaged or unfinished.

– Visual perception: crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, mazes: develop through analysis the game encourages visual acuity and different approaches are used which increases the game’s demands on your attention and concentration, and the most fun part is being able to measure your progress.
