News of the fourth season of HBO’s “Success” is rolling in pretty quickly. After the announcement of the (US) start date, it was announced that season 4 will also be the last of the hit series. And now the German broadcaster Sky revealed in an official press release that the grand final in this country is already rising in parallel with the American broadcast.
The fourth season “Succession”. will be available on demand on Sky Q and the Sky streaming service WOW from 27 March 2023, with a new episode every Monday. Initially, however, the episodes are only available in the English original with optional German subtitles. The German version will follow on April 11.
Particularly in the case of major HBO productions, it is actually not unusual for Sky to bring them to Germany at the same time as the US release (see, for example, “House Of The Dragon” or “The Last Of Us”) . However, in the case of the fourth season “Succession”, there was only mention of April 11, so it seemed that local fans would still have a small grace period to say goodbye. But that is not the case now.
And saying goodbye shouldn’t be easy for many, as “Succession” is one of the best the series landscape has to offer right now. It is not for nothing that the series was overloaded with all imaginable television awards (including 13 Emmys and 5 Golden Globes) and was on numerous lists of the best of the year (season 3 ended for us among the best series of the year in 2021).

When powerful media magnate Logan Roy (Brian Cox) decides to retire, a bitter battle ensues between his descendants to find his successor. His children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkan), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Connor (Alan Ruck), each want to run the empire, which soon plunges the family into a serious crisis.
Long-simmering problems and disputes finally break out. And Logan is also increasingly doubting whether he should give up his life’s work, let alone leave it to his children.
