A little bear for Kristen Stewart

The American actress Kristen Stewart can put a small porcelain bear on her shelf after the Berlinale. Berlin Mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) handed her the white figure on Friday during a visit from the Berlinale competition jury at the Red Town Hall. The remaining jurors, one of whom was missing, received paperweights with an image of the Brandenburg Gate.

According to the Senate Chancellery, Giffey gave a short speech at the beginning of the meeting, in which she also referred to the Russian attack on Ukraine a year ago. Then the judges signed the guest book.

Stewart is jury president of the 73rd International Film Festival. Together with her colleagues, she negotiates the Golden Bear and the Silver Bear among the 19 productions in the competition. The prizes will be awarded on Saturday.
