Universal Studios will have an impressive Mario Bros.

The theme park Universal Studios Hollywood opened this Friday “Super Nintendo World”, a section inspired by the video game character Mario Bros.

The small plumber popularized in the 80s by Nintendo is the protagonist of an immersive experience that aims to immerse its visitors in the Mushroom Kingdom, the main kingdom in the saga, which for years can only be enjoyed virtually.

“There are no rules, the park was created for scan and work like a video game,” Universal Studios Hollywood creative director Jon Corfino said in a press conference.

The project stems from the association Nintendo with Universal Creative and the concept has already been transferred to the Universal Studios parks in Florida (USA) and Japan, which will be officially opened later.

Participants will be able to help Princess Peach get her “golden mushroom” back, experience a “Mario Kart” race driving a car that combines mapping technology with physical settings, and get up close and personal with iconic characters from the Japanese franchise.

Through the “Power Up Band”, a themed wristband, participants will be able to connect to a mobile app where they will collect points and coins, just like Mario did on screen, and compete with other players.

In addition, this same bracelet will work in the headquarters Japan and Florida (United States of America).

According to Corfin, the creator has been developing the project for almost ten years Mario Bros., Shigeru Miyamoto.

“Absolutely everything here has gone through approval Miyamoto, He is an extremely creative and kind person,” Corfino told EFE, noting that the video game designer constantly visited the park to perfect every detail.

Although the opening of the thematic part of Nintendo coinciding with the release year of the “Super Mario Bros. Movie”, the park’s inspiration is independent of the story the film is setting in motion.

The place also has a themed food restaurant even before opening to the general public “Super Nintendo World” hosted artists such as Chris Pratt, Brie Larson, Jaime Camil, Angélica Vale, among other celebrities, at a special event.
