Much More Kang: How To Prepare “Avengers 5+6” In “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania”.

We didn’t expect that before Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania: instead of the new MCU movie starring Kang The Conqueror aka Kang the Conqueror introducing the big new bad guy (quasi the new Thanos), this version dies of Kang apparently the end of the movie. In the future, the Avengers will likely face not just ONE new Thanos, but SEVERAL: the Council of Kangs led by Immortus, Rama-Tut, and (probably) Scarlet Centurion (all played by Jonathan Majors).

These three Kang variants – and countless others – make their debut in the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, and then instead of a single Kang, they’re likely to cause trouble for the Avengers and their allies. You can read more about the two credits scenes in this article:

But what does the first credits scene of “Quantumania” tell us specifically about”Avengers 5” And “Avengers 6“? A look at the titles of these two films and the earlier references to the new “Avengers” double will help here:

“Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty”

Kang The Conqueror mentions a “dynasty of Kangs” throughout Quantumania, but after the mid-credits scene, it seems clear he’s not referring to a multi-generational (ruling) family. Avengers: The Kang DynastySo it turns out – as is so often the case in the MCU – just a loose adaptation of the Marvel comic series entitled “The Kang Dynasty”in which Kang wants to conquer the earth together with his specially bred and trained son Marcus.

Instead, Immortus, Rama-Tut and Co. probably the Kang dynasty of the same name and first confront the Avengers in The Kang Dynasty. It is possible that the prominent Kang variants act as a kind of leader, while the countless less characteristic variants are, so to speak, foot soldiers. However, “Quantumania” has already shown that each Kang is a deadly opponent thanks to their powerful armor and vast knowledge.

Should the Avengers have to deal with numerous Kangs in “The Kang Dynasty”, that would also avoid the problem that opened up “Quantumania”: there Kang the Conqueror, for all his might, is quite easily defeated by a swarm of intelligent giant ants and his renegade Henchman MODOK (Corey Stoll) defeated. So would a single Kang really make a worthy opponent for the now very, very large Avengers team?

And that leads us straight to Avengers 6: Secret Wars. Because in order for an adaptation of the “Secret Wars” storyline from the comics to be possible, the Avengers have to lose first – almost like back then with “Avengers: Infinite War” And “Avengers: endgame“!

“Avengers 6: Secret Wars”

We don’t want to give too much away at this point, but we will The term “raid” has been used a number of times in the MCU, again in “Quantumania”. Raids, in the Marvel Comics, are cataclysmic events in which two universes from the Multiverse collide (with the Earth as its center) and destroyed unless an Earth is destroyed first.

After all, in the Secret Wars comic book template, there are only two universes and two Earths left, except for that one eventually merge into the so-called Battleworldwhich juxtaposes many different worlds, cities and areas of the Marvel Multiverse.

Like “Avengers 3” & “Avengers 4”?

It is therefore conceivable that the Avengers in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” become aware of the danger of raids. Due to disputes over the right course of action (such as in the comic book and in “Captain America: Civil War” or “Avengers: Infinity War”) and probably also due to the interference of the Kang dynasty However, if they don’t get the situation under control – and fail.

So then all MCU movies and series between “Avengers 5” and “Avengers 6” could play on Battleworld – which they are is not yet certain, but there is a whole year between the two titles. In the meantime, there will probably be two or three films plus one or two series.

And in Avengers: Secret Wars, the remaining Avengers could then attempt to undo the Battleworld realityto return to the usual Marvel universe. That would be a pretty strong parallel to “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” but also different enough because of the different teams, backgrounds, and villains.

Apart from the fact that “Avengers 3” and “Avengers 4” were also sensationally successful and it is not a bad idea to follow this success formula. But of course it’s all still pure speculation at this early stage…
