LG OLED C2: excellent picture and support for Dolby Vision
The LG OLED C2 is one of the best OLED TVs out there and relies on OLED Evo technology. These are more efficient phosphors that provide higher peak brightness and longer life. In combination with the new Alpha 9 processor, the C2 delivers an excellent image.
It scores not only with high brightness, but also with almost perfect black and high color fidelity. Thanks to Dolby Vision support, you can get the most out of most streaming offers. You just have to compromise with Amazon’s own productions like “The Rings of Power”, because LG televisions generally don’t support their HDR format HDR10+.
The Smart TV system convinces with its intuitive operation and the possibility to set up several user profiles. There are also a whopping four HDMI 2.1 ports, which also allows you to fully utilize the 120 Hertz of the screen while gaming. However, a headphone jack is missing. You need to know if you need this. Headphones, however, can easily be connected to the C2 via Bluetooth.
LG OLED CS: the first alternative to the C2
An alternative to the C2 is the LG OLED CS, the 55-inch model of which is currently available Amazon*, Media Markt* And Saturn* is also available for 1099 euros. But beware: there is no voucher for this.
Like the C2, the CS also uses the new Alpha 9 processor. Although the CS is not officially equipped with an OLED Evo display, the image quality comes close to that of the brand’s competitor. Otherwise, the two models are almost exactly the same.
The choice is ultimately yours. If you want to grab the voucher of 100 euros at MediaMarkt or Saturn, then the LG OLED C2 is worth it there. If you prefer to buy from Amazon, the LG OLED CS makes more sense for you.
