As a world class diver, Jason Statham didn’t get the big break. On the other hand, he took movie fans by storm with his movie debut in Guy Ritchie’s gangster classic “Jack, Queen, King, GrAs”. He made his last return to the camera more than 20 years later for “Operation Fortune” for the British cult director, currently in cinemas. A harder Statham ripper is now available completely for free: “Blitz – Cop-Killer Vs. Killer-Cop”.
The action thriller is less known compared to franchises like “The Transporter”, “The Expendables” or “Fast & Furious”. Therefore, for many Statham fans, this should now be the perfect opportunity to catch up on the movie: “Blitz” is now available to stream completely free on Amazon Freevee – in the uncut FSK 18 version, of course:

While you can only use the Amazon Prime Video streaming service with a Prime subscription, you don’t need anything of the sort for “Blitz”. The only drawback: in return you have to accept commercial breaks.
This is Blitz starring Jason Statham
That’s what it’s about: Brant (Jason Statham) is assigned a very special case that even a seasoned, hardened cop like him can’t handle. Because he goes on the hunt for a serial killer (Aidan Gillen, “Game Of Thrones”) and plunges headlong into a very personal duel. Because the killer’s target is the police.
The fact that his shy colleague Nash (Paddy Considine, “House Of The Dragon”) has been assigned to help him with his investigations doesn’t necessarily make Brant’s job any easier. Since coming out, Nash has had his problems at the agency. And Brant doesn’t think much of his new partner either – but that all becomes secondary when the cop killer strikes again…
“Jason Statham movies are a special case – you get what you expect,” says the FILMSTARTS review of “Blitz,” among others, in which our author Robert Cherkowski awards an average of 2.5 out of 5 possible stars. In summary, this means: the film from director Elliott Lester, who also directed Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Vendetta – All that was left to him was revenge”, does not reinvent the wheel and offers exactly what you expect from it. And if you feel like it, you definitely get your money’s worth here.
In the end, the result was a thoroughly entertaining 97 minutes, which suffer a bit from their predictability, but still offer solidly staged, gritty action-thriller entertainment – with Jason Statham in one of the many roles tailored to his body.
Also new to Amazon Freevee
However, many other movies will also hit Amazon Freevee during the month. Since February 1, 2023, the Coen brothers’ ten Oscar-nominated western highlight “True Grit” and Japanese samurai actor “Rurouni Kenshin” are available on the platform.
After adding “Black Water” with Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme to the range yesterday, “Close Range” with Scott Adkins, “Stephen Kings Thinner – The Curse” and one of the best Nicolas will follow in the coming days and weeks – Cage movies of the past decade: “Joe – Revenge is his”. You will find all the novelties of February in the following article:
