Finally: Three (!) of the most popular Disney animated films are getting a sequel!

It’s been over three years since Frozen 2 hit theaters and melted our hearts. Many are hoping for a sequel, but nothing has been confirmed yet. That has now changed. Bob Igerthe Disney boss himself, now says in a quarterly report that “The Ice Queen 3” has been produced. But not only the franchise “Frozen” is continued. We are also working on “Toy Story 5” and “Zootopia 2” worked! So there will be sequels to three very popular and successful Disney films.

Frozen 2 grossed $1.45 billion worldwide at the box office in 2019. Including the first film, the franchise grossed $2.73 billion. These are numbers that must and can be linked with certainty. After all, “Frozen” is a real long-running hit, especially among young audiences, and one that shapes all of childhood.

The sequel to “Zoomania” was only a matter of time. The story from the turbulent animal park is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ second most successful production after “Frozen”.

The excitement of yet another “Toy Story” movie after “Everything Doesn’t Listen to a Command” is wonderfully understandable on Twitter. Over a photo of his animated character Buzz Lightyear, actor and voice actor Tim Allen says he’s looking forward to a reunion with his eternal nemesis (and friend) Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks): “Let’s go to number 5!”. The tweet cheers and countless followers are happy.

It is not yet known when the sequels to the Disney favorites will hit theaters.

It could continue in “Frozen 3”, “Toy Story 5” and “Zoomania 2”.

While Frozen 2 was of course a finished movie, it makes sense to tell another story from Arendelle. After all, at the end of the second Frozen movie, a whole new life begins for the sisters Anna and Elsa. Elsa becomes part of the native people of Northuldra and is finally where she can be happy. However, that doesn’t mean she is who she always wanted to be. She too must find her place in the new community.

Anna is now Queen and Arendelle and must take responsibility for an entire nation. A task that certainly cannot be done with the left hand. And then of course she also has to think about how she wants to develop personally and how she will shape her life with her partner Kristoff …

There have been ideas for a sequel to Zoomania for a long time. As far back as 2016, directors Byron Howard and Rich Moore reported that there were dozens more stories, characters, and locations that would fill a sequel. So maybe some of the storylines are already there and haven’t seen the light of day (movie theater) yet.

And of course it should be no problem for the creators of “Toy Story” to conjure up another adventure from the nursery for the big screen. What exactly “Toy Story 5” could look like is already indicated at the end of “Everything disobeys a command.” You can read more about it here:
