The newly crowned bosses of the newly formed DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran, announced this a few weeks ago.
Now The Suicide Squad and Guardians Of The Galaxy mastermind James Gunn has kept his promise and has finally worked out what the first phase of this new plan will look like. Because just like the MCU from competitor Marvel, the new DCU will also be divided into phases, which are called chapters here. The first of these chapters will be titled “Gods & Monsters” and is expected to hit theaters in 2025 and before that in the series.
In a video, Gunn revealed no less than ten brand new projects (five films and five series) starring many iconic DC heroes that await us in the next eight to ten years, while also emphasizing that this will only be part of the first chapter and not the full stage. “Superman: Legacy”
The previously teased new Superman movie will be titled “Superman: Legacy” and will announce the new DCU on the big screen on July 11, 2025 (US launch) (but there should already be two DCU series before that, see below ). ). “The Brave and the Bold”
Behind “The Brave And The Bold” is a new Batman movie, which will not only revolve around the Dark Knight (embodied by a new, as-yet-undisclosed actor), but an entire Bat family. This includes Robin, who will celebrate his comeback to the live-action screen nearly 30 years after the much-maligned “Batman & Robin.” In this version, Damian Wayne is behind the mask of the sidekick whom Gun has described as his favorite Robin, “an asshole”, and “a killer”.
