As the title suggests, How I Met Your Father focuses on a mother telling her son in 2050 how she met his father in the 2020s. Like Ted in “How I Met Your Mother,” Sophie (future: Kim Cattrall, present: Hilary Duff) goes into great detail and draws her offspring into the turbulent life of the time, which was characterized by all kinds of romantic complications and their friends joined in.
Until now, How I Met Your Father, set in the same universe as How I Met Your Mother, was only available in this country through a Disney+ subscription. You can watch the first season there. But if you were hoping for a free TV premiere, your prayers have now been answered: Starting February 13, ProSieben will air “How I Met Your Mother” every Monday in a double episode on prime time (8:15 p.m.). All episodes are also available on Joyn one week before broadcast.

A “How I Met Your Mother” legend returns for Season 2
As I said, the second season of “How I Met Your Father” started this week in the United States. It is not yet known when the 20 new episodes will be shown in this country. However, as with season 1, these will certainly appear again directly in the Disney + subscription. It was recently announced that a How I Met Your Mother star will be back – and not just in a cameo!
This is Neil Patrick Harris, who will be back as Barney Stinson in season two. There was already a reunion in the first episode of the second season when Sophie drove her car into the car of the infamous suit carrier and she had to contact the infamous ripper involuntarily. however, has reported that this isn’t just a cameo like Cobie Smulders in the season 1 finale, but a role that will be more important to the storyline.
In addition, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the creators of How I Met Your Father, previously hinted that the second season of the spin-off may see additional appearances from well-known stars from the original series. So it will be interesting to see which direction the sitcom will develop.
