Emilia Clarke shot to fame with her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO hit Game Of Thrones. For many fans of the series, it would certainly be interesting to hear what the actress thinks about the prequel “House Of The Dragon”, which came out last year and managed to inspire not only the trade press but also the viewers. After all, this is also about the family to which Daenerys (only 200 years later) will belong.
As Emilia Clarke is currently promoting her new movie The Pod Generation, she was last in conversation with . As expected, it was also about “House Of The Dragon”. At the same time, Clarke revealed that she has never seen the series and has no plans to do so in the future:
“It’s too strange. I’m so glad the series exists. I’m over the moon with all the awards…but I just can’t. […] It’s like someone saying: “Want to go to that class reunion that’s not your year? Do you want to go to that class reunion?’ That’s how it feels. I avoid it.”
House Of The Dargon was named Best Drama Series of 2022 at the Golden Globe Awards. The prequel did something that “Game Of Thrones” has never done before. A second season is currently in production. Filming is scheduled for early 2023. In it we can expect even more dragon action, intrigue and of course new contenders for the Iron Throne.
