What does the new Netflix week have in store for you? It’s not that much this time around, but there are still enough interesting-sounding newcomers that your watchlist is guaranteed not to be empty. As always, we briefly present the possible highlights of the week.
Monday: Action for fans of “Crank” and Co.
The week is starting off pretty action-packed on Netflix, because of “Shock” come on in stylish action thriller in the subscription, in the Kate Beckinsale let fists fly and almost as crazy as Jason Statham in “Crank”. Tanya Wexler’s movie was released on Amazon Prime Video in 2021, now the streaming service has changed – “Jolt” is out on Prime and Netflix has now bought the thriller.
Lindy (Kate Beckinsale) suffers from an impulse control disorder that causes her to lash out at the slightest provocation. To restrain herself, she wears a special electroshock vest that allows her to shock herself if she panics. But then her new boyfriend Justin (Jai Courtney) is murdered – and despite the rage Lindy feels now, no vest will help. A bloody revenge campaign begins.
Also new from Monday: Im Norwegian war film”Narvik“ Norwegian soldiers defend their hometown of the same name against the German army. When young corporal Gunnar Tofte (Carl Martin Eggesbø) returns home, he discovers that his wife is involved in the events in an unexpected way.
Tuesday: No major reboots
Tuesday looks pretty sparse with new additions to share with you, so we’re going straight to Wednesday…
Wednesday: New wrestling series
In the Mexican seriesContra Las Cuerdas – Against the ropesComedy meets wrestling. Angela has just been released from prison and has a difficult relationship with her daughter, who is a big fan of lucha libre wrestling. To win back the respect of her offspring, Angela enters a competition.
It should also be fun in the Italian comedy”family at all costs“, which can be seen on Netflix from Wednesday. Since their adult children rarely visit them, Anna and Carlo use a trick to finally get their offspring back home.
Thursday: comedy with Palina Rojinski
Netflix will take the upper hand on Thursday teen comedyGet Lucky – Sex changes everything” with Palina Rojinski in the catalog, which hit theaters in 2019. For a group of teenagers, the summer holidays are all about the first time. When one of them proposes to spend the summer with his aunt Ellen (Rojinski) on an island, everyone is thrilled – and of course they have a lot of questions about love and sex in their luggage.

Friday: New fantasy action and stars like Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill
Starting Friday, fans of young adult stories will be able to watch the first season of the new series fantasy seriesLockwood & co“ based on the book series of the same name by Jonathan Stroud. In it, teenage Lucy Carlyle (Ruby Stokes) joins the eponymous ghostbusting agency in London to ward off supernatural threats. But the teenagers also have to deal with very mundane problems…
On January 27, the star-studded comedy”you people“ Premiere on Netflix. Ezra Cohen (Jonah Hill) and Amira Mohammed (Lauren London) are getting married. Ezra’s parents (Julia Louis-Dreyfus and David Duchovny) are happy for the couple. But Amira’s parents (Nia Long and Eddie Murphy) aren’t exactly happy about the connection. Ezra goes to great lengths to convince the parents that he is the right person for their daughter.
Also new from Friday: The second season of the mystery thriller seriesKings of Jo’Burg” and the Spanish crime seriesThe girl in the snow“ about a journalist’s search for a missing girl in Malaga.
Saturday & Sunday: No new entries
So far, Netzflix has not announced any reboots for the weekend. This also leaves enough time to work through your watch list.
