New details about “Avatar 3”: “Game Of Thrones” star will lead the evil Na’vi

At the turn of the year, cinema talks revolved around “Avatar 2: The Way Of Water”. Was it worth the wait? Does it have what it takes to be the highest-grossing movie of all time? And what now? The mega blockbuster not only made the box office ring, but also started the rumor mill. Reason enough for the makers around director James Cameron to get rid of half-truths and to provide some facts to clarify.

Producer Jon Landau recently revealed that, contrary to previous statements, Vin Diesel has not been signed on for the “Avatar” sequels. This has also dispelled the theory of many fans who already saw the “Fast & Furious” star as the leader of the fire Na’vi announced for “Avatar 3”. But who will rule over the new people now? There is now an answer to that – and it will not surprise anyone who knows the director from films such as “Terminator 1+2”, “Aliens” or “The Abyss”:

The one known from “Game Of Thrones”. Oona Chaplin appears in “Avatar 3” as the leader of the so-called (Ashfolk of Fire Na’vi) appear, as now in the latest issue of Had been revealed. So Cameron once again relies on a strong, powerful female character, as has always existed in his films – and as she recently played a decisive role in “Avatar 2: The Way Of Water”. Whether it’s Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), Ronal (Kate Winslet), Kiri (Sigourney Weaver) or General Ardmore (Edie Falco).

By the way, the author of this article can only warmly recommend the book “Myths Mothers Machines – The Universe of James Cameron” to everyone who is more interested in the image of women in James Cameron’s films…

… if you are more interested in “Avatar 3”, you just have to read on. Because besides the revelation that Oona Chaplin, best known as Talisa Stark/Maegyr in Game Of Thrones, will lead a new Na’vi race, we already know quite a bit more about the film, which is already wrapped and due on December 18, 2024. come to cinemas.

“Avatar 3”: Humans and Na’vi switch roles

The third “Avatar” movie introduces the Ash people – and with them the first true Na’vi antagonists, after the roles have been divided relatively clearly so far: Na’vi are good, humans are bad. In the future, this relationship should be reversed at least a little, after the lines between good and evil, strong and weak have already begun to blur in “The Way Of Water”.

In addition, it has already been revealed that two new Na’vi cultures await us in “Avatar 3” – and this is just another piece of a giant puzzle that will continue to take shape with “Avatar 4” and “Avatar 5”.

Plus, we’re pretty sure Avatar 3 will also answer one of the biggest questions that Avatar 2 left unanswered: Does Kiri have a father – or does Dr. Grace Randolph (Sigourney Weaver) through a deity to her child? The latter would at least explain Kiri’s extraordinary bond with Eywa…

Also, James Cameron recently (accidentally?) revealed that the von Sam Worthington embodied Jake Sully as the narrator in the third Pandora adventure. Instead, Lo’ak (Britain Dalton), who is already experiencing the greatest development of any character in Part 2, steps in – and rightly so. Apparently it will be of great importance in the future…
