So far, “Fast & Furious 10” has mostly attracted attention with negative headlines: First, director Justin Lin, who was partly responsible for the refocusing of part 4/5 and the series’ subsequent rise in success and who just started ‘Fast & Furious 9’ back in the lap of the family.
And then reports circulated about the movie’s runaway budget: “Fast X” (the official original title) cost $340 million as of November 2022, which is certainly not the end of the road. For comparison, this is the prize tier of “Avengers: Endgame” ($356 million), “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” ($379 million) or currently “Avatar: The Way Of Water” ($350 to 400 million).
“Fast & Furious 10” should make a lot of money worldwideto make a profit for Studio Universal. To achieve this, those in charge must urgently turn the helm or steering wheel and, instead of pressing badly, warm up the expectation of “Fast X”. “Fast & Furious” patriarch Vin Diesel has now himself taken the first step in this direction:
On Instagram, he posted a first photo from “Fast And Furious 10”, which unsurprisingly shows Dom Torreto, who he plays, with a grim expression and a cool pose. Diesel also announced: The trailer for “Fast X” will be released “next month”, i.e. February 2023.
In addition to Dom Torretto, the other members of the “Fast & Furious” family are back – from Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) to Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) and Han (Sung Kang) to the rumored Gisele (Gal Gadot), who is actually dead:
Absolutely new on board are Jason Momoa as new villain Dante, Brie Larson as Tess and Rita Moreno as Abuela Torretto, the grandmother of Dom, Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Jakob (John Cena). The villain from part 9 is also back, but has switched sides and is now part of the family (again).
“Fast & Furious 10” will be released in German cinemas on May 18, 2023. By the way: Jason Momoa and John Cena would harmonize so well in the film that the two made the next project together. You can read more about this in the following article:
