Never shake champagne
Have you ever opened a Coca Cola bottle after shaking it? The same principle applies to champagne: pressure fluctuations in the bottle mean that when the bottle is opened, carbon dioxide escapes at the speed of light, taking the liquid with it. So the champagne gets on the clothes or the floor, not the glass.

Trying to open a champagne bottle with damp or wet hands is a bad idea. There is a high risk of the bottle slipping from your hand and falling to the ground. If you’d rather spend your time partying than cleaning, work with dry hands or lay the bottle on a kitchen towel to open.

Do not remove the cork with your mouth
Something that sounds sexy can result in a bruised eye or cracked teeth. Release your hands first when opening champagne.

Do not take a break after removing the wire basket.
This error happened to me recently at a birthday dinner. I opened a champagne wire basket and was distracted by the doorbell. Instead of opening the cork, I put the bottle on the table. After about five minutes, the fungus escaped on its own and narrowly passed a precious dining table lamp. The effect on the ceiling was so strong that it left a visible mark.

Twist the bottle instead of the cork
Have you ever watched a sommelier or sommelier open champagne? While holding the bottom of the bottle with one hand, they close the cork with the other. However, the film opens in the bottle, not the cork.
