At the beginning of the year, champagne corks are popping up and you are the focus of the party. YouTube star Julia Graf shows you how to do amazing sparkly Christmas makeup.
Step 1: Creamy eyeshadow as a base
First, you take a shimmery, silvery cream eyeshadow and apply it to the moving eyelid with a small brush. Due to its creamy consistency, the loose shimmer eyeshadow will stay put better afterwards. Blend the eyeshadow slightly upwards.
Step 2: Medium brown for wrinkle
Get an eyeshadow palette like Bobbi Brown’s Hot Nudes now. To give the eyes more depth, choose a medium to light brown color for the crease. You blend the shimmery brown shade to get a very light shade.
Step 3: Light reflection for the eyebrow arch
Next, take a lighter shade of eyeshadow with a beautiful satin finish from the palette and apply it just under your brow.
Step 4: Dramatic effects in dark brown
Now, using a slightly smaller brush, apply a matte, dark brown eyeshadow to the outer corner of your eyelid crease and diffuse a little. It is best to use a slightly larger, soft brush for blending.
Step 5: Glitter, Glitter, Glitter
You can now eat properly! With a stiff, wide brush, you get a silvery eyeshadow with lots of bright pigments. Gently press the brush against the lid surface repeatedly to ensure that all the shimmer particles are transferred really well.
Step 6: Even more glitter for the flip cover
There can’t be enough sparkle on New Year’s Eve. Therefore, you go over the moving eyelid again with a glittery eyeliner, for example, from The Body Shop. The eyeliner is sheer and contains lots of silver glitter particles. Due to the gel-like consistency, the glitter holds perfectly. Apply where you want the most shine and reflection.
Step 7: Black eyeliner is a must
While the silvery eyeliner is still drying, you can already work with black eyeliner and draw a line with a thin brush. If you can’t agree here, there’s also an extra video with more tips on that.
Step 8: Mascara for a glamorous look
Now coat your upper lashes with black mascara a few times for an impressive look. You leave out the lower lashes for now.
Step 9: Don’t forget the lower eyelids
You apply silvery eyeshadow under your eyes with an applicator. Then you follow the lower waterline with a black kajal. Then you take the brush again and mix the black with the silver. Finally, you apply mascara to the lower lashes.
Step 10: False lashes for that extra kick
In the evening it can be a little more: false eyelashes make the eyes even larger. If you need help installing, watch the video.
Step 11: Nude lips for the perfect popping look
Since the eyes are already heavily made-up, nude-toned lips suit this make-up very well. Outline your lips with lip liner first and then fill in with lipstick.
Step 12: Model the cheekbones
Finally, you can highlight your cheekbones with a bronze powder. You can find out exactly how this works in the next video! Have a great New Year’s Eve
